Sex work can be dangerous both physically and psychologically. Based on a global consultation with sex workers, the World Health Organization (WHO, 2012) outlined three common types of violence that sex workers face: physical, sexual, and psychological.
The greatest risk seems to be with independent work. Many workers gravitate towards Brothel work verses Independent work because of lower risk factors. Of course this doesn’t mean that working at a brothel guarantees safety, but it certainly lowers risk significantly.
This is not about trying to convince you to go from independent work to brothel work, in fact we carry no judgement on these choices. All we desire is, for you, to be as safe as possible, and maybe put into practice some safety measures to help.
We have created a very simple Plan and PLAYSAFE branding FREE for your use. We here at Malgraphix are hoping they will help to minimise the risks.
